Built Slowly, With Intention
Secret Spa has been part of the vision for Asturias Retreats for more than five years.
Like the accommodation itself, the spa is being developed gradually and personally, shaped by the landscape and built with care. Every stage of the project reflects the same philosophy that has guided Asturias Retreats from the beginning: creating beautiful, authentic spaces that feel connected to nature and rooted in their surroundings.
The aim has never been to create a large commercial spa or polished luxury resort.
Instead, Secret Spa is being designed as an intimate mountain spa in Asturias — somewhere peaceful, atmospheric and restorative. A place where wood, stone, firelight and mountain air matter more than scale or excess. Set beneath the Sierra del Sueve, with views across the surrounding countryside, the spa is being created as a hidden retreat space where guests can slow down, unwind and reconnect with nature.
The Spa Experience
A Small Mountain Spa Focused on Wellbeing
When complete, Secret Spa will offer a collection of carefully designed indoor and outdoor wellness spaces for guests staying at Asturias Retreats. Planned features include:
- Panoramic sauna overlooking the mountains and sunsets of the Sierra del Sueve
- Outdoor hot tub surrounded by nature
- Ice baths and cold plunge experiences
- Rustic covered chill-out area with fire
- Changing facilities
- Quiet outdoor spaces for relaxation and reflection
The experience is intended to feel slow, grounding and personal — inspired more by Scandinavian mountain retreats than traditional hotel spas.
Natural materials, soft lighting, wood, stone and fire will shape the atmosphere throughout the space, creating somewhere calm and intimate rather than polished or formal.
Initially, Secret Spa will be available exclusively to guests staying at Asturias Retreats before later opening for private spa experiences and wellness sessions.
